Ministries

 

Our mission at Gateway is to connect with people and to experience LIFE together in Christ.

We encounter people in all walks of life – our families, our co-workers, our friends, and complete strangers.  The relationships we have with people may impact us and them both positively and negatively.  The most important relationship of our life begins with God and continues to manifest itself in our relationship with others.

The ministries of Gateway exist to connect people to God and each other as they experience LIFE together:

  • The LIFE purpose of our Worship ministry is to Exalt God above All.  Our worship ministry strives to be guided by God, connected in content with the message for the day, and excellent in our worship before God.

  • Our Adult LIFEgroup ministry exists to connect people in sustained, healthy, intimate small groups where they experience LIFE together in authentic community.  Each LIFEgroup family will experience authentic community when they connect with members, grow spiritually, care for others, implement group service opportunities, and seek to include others. Through our small groups, we strive to help our family to experience LIFE change through Spiritual Formation in Christ. Our hope for every family member is to:

    • Invite others into a passionate LIFE in Christ;

    • Experience the foundation of Spiritual Growth for LIFE;

    • Equip believers to help others find LIFE in Christ.

  • Our College and Young Professionals ministry exists to wait on the Lord, seek His face and His fame above all else, and run hard after Jesus so that College Students and Young Professionals might experience LIFE in Him.                                                                                              

  • Gateway Student Ministries awakens students to life by knowing Christ, growing in Christ, and going to telling others about Christ.  Our ministry desires to reach and grow 7th-12th graders in the Dutch Fork, Ballentine, Irmo, and Chapin areas. Through our ministry, we strive to mobilize students to reach the world for Christ.

  • The Children Ministries at Gateway is committed to assisting families in fulfilling the scriptural training of their children in a loving experience that leads to a LIFE in Christ.

  • Through partnering with other Gateway ministries, the Missions Team will educate, equip, and facilitate God's people to fulfill His purpose to invite everyone to a LIFE in Christ.
