The people of Gateway are a family connecting with people and experiencing LIFE together in Christ.
God has called us and placed us in the town of Ballentine to connect with the Dutch Fork Community. It is our vision that our family will connect with the people of our community so that they have the opportunity to experience LIFE in Christ.
Our mission challenges us to invite people to LIFE in Christ and to connect with people so that they experience LIFE change (spiritual growth). Since the year of our relocation we have seen over 200 people join the membership of our church -- many of them publicly professing their faith in Christ for the first time through baptism.
As we grow numerically, we must also grow spiritually. We encourage everyone attending Gateway to embrace our Big 3, our disciple-making process: Know, Grow, Go.
1. Knowing Christ:
a. Entering into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ (salvation).
b. Teaching and expressing our relationship with God through corporate worship;
c. Personal time with God through the week.
2. Growing in Christ:
a. Connecting with each other and experiencing LIFE together through small groups.
b. A LIFE in Christ is evidenced by:
i. Living for others
ii. Inviting others to a LIFE in Christ
iii. Following the Teachings of God’s Word
iv. Exalting God above all
3. Going to serve and share Christ with others:
a. in our church,
b. in our community,
c. and around the world.
We will only accomplish our vision as our people make it happen. Encourage one another in this.
